- The Project Manager will oversee planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of the company’s projects.
- The role ensures timely delivery of objectives, effective coordination of partners and stakeholders, efficient use of resources, and compliance with company and partner requirements.
- The Project Manager will champion high-quality execution to drive measurable impacts for smallholder poultry farmers.
- Lead project planning, execution, and closure for both projects, ensuring alignment with objectives, timelines, and budgets.
- Develop detailed implementation workplans and schedules in consultation with internal teams and partners.
- Work across-functional teams (extension, finance, M&E, procurement, logistics) to achieve deliverables.
- Engage and manage relationships with partners, donors, government agencies, farmer groups, and other stakeholders.
- Ensure compliance with partner guidelines, contractual obligations, and company policies.
- Oversee risk management processes, proactively identifying and addressing potential challenges.
- Supervise and mentor project staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Monitor project activities, track KPIs, evaluate progress, and prepare timely, high-quality reports for management and donors.
- Support budget management, forecasting, and financial controls to ensure responsible use of funds.
- Facilitate regular project review meetings, learning sessions, and donor visits.
- Represent the organization in relevant external forums and stakeholder engagements related to poultry development.
- Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture, Project Management, Development Studies, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in managing complex, multi-stakeholder projects, preferably in the agricultural or poultry value chain sectors.
- Proven track record in donor-funded project implementation.
- Demonstrated expertise in budget management, workplan development, and reporting.
- Strong leadership, team management, and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder engagement abilities.
- Proficiency in MS Office; experience with project management software is an added advantage.
- Willingness to travel frequently within project locations.
- Strong organisational and time management skills.
- Results-oriented and proactive approach.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
