- The Compliance Manager will be responsible for ensuring that all company operations comply with relevant financial regulations, industry standards, and internal policies.
- The role involves monitoring compliance risks, implementing compliance programs, and providing guidance to the organization on regulatory matters.
- Establish and maintain Compliance program to ensure the Company’s compliance to applicable laws, regulations and guidelines.
- Conduct Compliance risk assessments and compliance audits to identify potential gaps and recommend corrective actions.
- Ensure company operations comply with regulatory bodies such as the Central Bank, AML (Anti-Money Laundering) laws, and data privacy regulations.
- Keep up to date with changing regulations and advise leadership on compliance obligations.
- Provide compliance training to employees to promote awareness and adherence to internal policies.
- Develop and oversee Know Your Customer (KYC) and Anti-Money Laundering (AML) processes.
- Investigate compliance violations and recommend corrective and disciplinary actions.
- Assist the CCO to prepare periodic compliance reports to Executive Management and regulatory bodies.
- Implement effective monitoring systems to ensure regulatory compliance of the company.
- Follow up to determine adequacy of corrective action plans.
- Professional Qualification: Any Compliance Professional etc will be an added advantage
- Minimum of 5+ years of experience in compliance management, risk, or regulatory affairs within the financial or fintech industry.
- Candidates should possess a bachelor’s degree / HND qualification
- Strong knowledge of financial laws, data protection regulations, and risk assessment frameworks.
- Strong understanding of e-payment compliance, risk management, and financial regulations will be an added advantage.
- Experience with AML, KYC, and fraud detection policies.
- Familiarity with industry best practices for data protection and cybersecurity compliance.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Excellent communication and report-writing skills.
- Detail-oriented with strong organizational and documentation skills.
