The Storage and Data Protection Engineer at SWATX (Nigeria) is tasked with ensuring the integrity, availability, and security of our data storage systems. In this pivotal role, you will design, implement, and manage data protection solutions tailored to the needs of our clients and internal stakeholders. Additionally, you will play a key role in developing backup and recovery strategies, ensuring that critical business data is safeguarded against loss and breaches.This position demands a hands-on approach where you will utilize your expertise to assess client needs, propose effective data solutions, and execute storage management best practices. As part of the engineering team, you will work closely with various departments to identify areas for improvement and implement advanced technologies to enhance our data protection framework.Requirements

3-5 years of experience in data storage management and data protection solutions.
Expertise in SAN/NAS technologies and diverse storage architectures.
Proficient in backup and recovery technologies (e.g., Veeam, Commvault, or similar).
Strong understanding of cloud storage solutions and hybrid architectures.
Experience in disaster recovery planning and execution.
Knowledge of data encryption standards and compliance requirements.
Familiarity with performance tuning and capacity planning for storage systems.
Excellent analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve data-related issues efficiently.
Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with technical teams and stakeholders.
Relevant certifications such as VCP, NetApp, or similar storage/deduplication certifications are a plus.
Experience in a multi-site or global data environment is advantageous.
