Adexen was mandated by a leading international Group to recruit an experienced Expatriate Chief Strategy Officer for its operations. The position is based in Lagos.Responsibilities
- The Chief Strategy Officer will play a vital role in driving the company's growth and success. She/He will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing strategic initiatives and long-term planning.
- Working closely with the executive team, he/she will identify exciting opportunities for growth, analyze market trends, and shape the overall strategy of the Group.
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives to drive business growth and enhance profitability.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to create a comprehensive plan for transforming the organization's structure and processes and ensure its successful implementation.
- Analyze and evaluate the company's performance, comparing it with both internal and external benchmarks, to provide insights for strategy development and performance enhancement.
- Monitor and analyze industry trends and competitive landscape to identify emerging threats and opportunities.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to develop and execute strategic plans across the organization.
- Provide guidance and strategic direction to business units, ensuring alignment with overall company strategy.
- Develop and maintain relationships with external partners and industry experts to stay abreast of market trends and best practices.
- Lead and manage a team of strategy professionals, providing guidance and support to drive results.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and ethical standards in all strategic initiatives.
- Stay informed about industry developments and changes in the competitive landscape.
- Lead M&A/divestiture transactions
- Bachelor's degree in business, Economics, or a related field.
- A Master's degree is preferred.
- Minimum of 15 years experience in strategic planning, business development, and corporate strategy within an international corporation
- Prior experience in a leadership role, preferably as a Chief Strategy Officer or similar, is highly desirable.
- Must have experience in Manufacturing / FMCG or any similar industry.
