- Leadership Responsibility: You will develop and drive the overall HR strategy, ensuring alignment with their organization's growth and values. You will collaborate with the executive team to align people initiatives with overall business objectives and provide thought leadership on best practices in talent management, employee engagement, and organizational development.
- Talent Acquisition and Management Responsibility: You will oversee the talent acquisition process, ensuring the recruitment of top-tier talent that aligns with their organization's goals. You will develop and implement effective onboarding and orientation programs to integrate new hires seamlessly into their company culture.
- Employee Engagement and Culture Responsibility: You will develop and execute programs to enhance employee engagement, job satisfaction, and overall workplace culture. You will implement and measure employee feedback mechanisms to continually improve the employee experience and foster an inclusive environment that values diversity and promotes a sense of belonging.
- Employee Relations and Well-being Responsibility: You will ensure employee relations issues are addressed promptly and effectively, fostering a positive work environment. You will also collaborate with other executive leaders to promote employee well-being programs and initiatives, supporting the holistic well-being of our employees.
- Learning and Development Responsibility: You will design and implement comprehensive training and development programs to enhance employee skills and capabilities.
- Performance Management Responsibility: You will oversee the performance management process, ensuring clear expectations and goals are set and aligned with the company's objectives.
- HR Operations and Compliance Responsibility: You will oversee HR operations, including payroll, benefits administration, HRIS, etc., and ensure compliance with all applicable employment laws and regulations across Africa. You will also mitigate HR-related risks through effective policies, procedures, and communication to safeguard our organization and employees.
- Experience & Education:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field, and/or a combination of relevant experience and education.
- HR certification (CIPM, SHRM, CIPD, HRCI, etc.).
- Minimum of 12 years of progressive HR experience serving in strategically focused roles, with at least 5 years in a strategic HR leadership role.
- Skills & Expertise:
- Extensive knowledge of employment legislation and best practices across Africa, sound business acumen, and strong leadership and people management skills.
- Tech-savvy, proficient in HR technology and data analytics, with the ability to navigate complex organizations and drive change.
- Willingness to travel across Africa and internationally to support our organization's growth and strategic initiatives.
