- To be responsible for the company logistics functions.
- Responsible for supply chain and transport management.
- Contributes to strategic decision-making and shaping the overall strategy of the company.
- Work with the project staff to ensure that the logistics needs of company are identified and met to a high standard.
- Ensure supplies and services are identified, procured and delivered on time to provide value for money, within company and to the right specifications.
- Define vehicle fleet requirements and ensure vehicle usage plans, insurance, maintenance and servicing are established.
- Ensure appropriate systems for monitoring the work of drivers and mechanics.
- Monitor compliance, review logistics activities, work with logistics and project staff to enhance the logistics support to the company.
- Responsible for setting up, managing and overseeing all logistics systems (procurement, transport and fleet management, storage, communications.
- Ensure all logistics systems and procedures comply with the company required operating licenses.
- Lead wider logistics functions and ensure clarity over plans and priorities, providing supervision, guidance and mentoring.
- Degree in Management or any relevant field.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in logistics management.
- Substantial technical (sector specific) logistics and procurement experience within the service sector
- Skills / Abilities:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent leadership and management skills.
- High level negotiation, analytical and problem solving skills.
- Good computer skills (MS Office, Google Suite).
