We are looking for a talented News Content Writer to contribute to our newsroom.
This role involves researching, writing, and producing compelling news articles across various beats to inform and captivate our audience.

Responsibilities

Write concise, accurate, and engaging news stories for publication in our newspaper and on our digital platforms.
Stay informed about local, national, and international news developments and pitch timely story ideas.
Conduct interviews with sources and gather information to support your reporting.
Collaborate with editors, reporters, and photographers to coordinate coverage of events and breaking news.
Adhere to editorial guidelines, standards, and deadlines to ensure high-quality content.
Monitor audience engagement and feedback to refine content strategies.

Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Journalism, Communications, or related field (or equivalent experience).
Proven experience as a news writer or journalist, preferably in a newspaper or digital news environment.
Familiarity with AP style, journalistic principles, and ethical standards.
Proficiency in digital content management systems and social media platforms.
Strong writing and storytelling skills with an ability to craft compelling narratives under deadline pressure.
Excellent research skills and ability to verify information from multiple sources.
