They are looking to hire an experienced Equipment Maintenance Manager.Job SummaryAn experienced equipment maintenance manager is sought to oversee all commissioning, installation, repair and upkeep operations of the company’s equipment. You must have a solid understanding of mechanical, plumbing and electrical systems to both develop and implement strategies to keep our processing equipment in good standing. The successful candidate must be a problem solver and self-starter that can oversee all technical departments within an organization and guide both the technical decisions and strategy. The candidate must require little guidance to thrive in a demanding environment, must have meaningful prior experience and demonstrate tangible success in industrial settings.Essential Responsibilities▪ Develop maintenance procedures, ensure their proper implementation, plan and oversee all repairs and installation activities.▪ Carry out daily inspections of the processing equipment to anticipate, identify and resolve potential issues so they can have high operational efficiencies.▪ Spearhead the maintenance of a broad range of food production equipment and administrative equipment to ensure they can perform 24hr per day.▪ Actively manage the performance of a food grade oil boiler and a continuous belt dryer to ensure the company can produce 24hrs per day▪ Manage the technical division of the company, guiding technical projects, and allocating resources as necessary for the efficient performance of the equipment.▪ Monitor equipment inventory and place orders when necessary while effectively controlling the maintenance budget.▪ Create and maintain project plans, calendars, and progress reports▪ Implement strategies to maintain the mechanical, ventilation, electrical and plumbing systems to ensure they are in optimal condition to support the daily production targets.▪ Maintain adequate quantities of inventories to prevent work stoppage.▪ Implement and enforce safety protocols to maintain a secure working environment.▪ Monitor and analyze production metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective measures.▪ Train and develop staff to enhance their skills and productivity.▪ Conduct regular inspections to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and company policies▪ Allocate workload, develop staffing, scheduling, training and development of staff.Job Requirements▪ Advanced degree in mechanical engineering or related field with distinction from a reputable academic institution▪ 5+ years’ experience in equipment maintenance and repair techniques▪ Prior experience in factory commissioning, equipment installation and maintenance▪ Prior experience in the food processing industry is a plus▪ Familiarity with drafting and understanding blueprints and schematics▪ Demonstrated track record of leadership, hard work and positive outcomes is preferred▪ Solid and verifiable references
