Work Structure: OnsiteRole SummaryThe Assistant HSE Manager will support the development, implementation, and maintenance of the company's health, safety, and environmental (HSE) programs across its retail, depot, and office operations. The role involves assisting in overseeing HSE activities, conducting risk assessments, ensuring compliance with regulations, and driving continuous improvement through data-driven analytics.Key Responsibilities
- Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining HSE policies, procedures, and standards.
- Conduct and support risk assessments; recommend and implement control measures.
- Monitor compliance with local, national, and international HSE regulations.
- Support in planning and conducting safety audits and preparing audit reports.
- Participate in incident investigations; assist in root cause analysis and recommending corrective actions.
- Maintain incident records and ensure timely reporting in line with company policies.
- Support in developing and delivering HSE training programs and safety awareness initiatives.
- Ensure personnel are trained in emergency response procedures and proper use of PPE.
- Monitor environmental compliance, including waste management and pollution control.
- Contribute to identifying and driving continuous improvement initiatives using analytics.
- Promote a culture of safety by acting as a role model in HSE practices.
- Support the development and coordination of emergency response plans and drills.
- Bachelors degree in Environmental Science, Occupational Health & Safety, Engineering, or a related discipline.
- A Masters degree or professional certifications (e.g., NEBOSH, IOSH, ISPON HSE Level 3) are preferred.
- 7-10 years of relevant HSE experience within the oil & gas sector.
- Minimum of 3years in a supervisory or team lead role.
- Strong knowledge of HSE management systems, risk assessments, incident investigations, and HSE analytics.
- In-depth knowledge of oil & gas industry HSE regulations and standards.
- Ability to analyze trends and recommend process improvements.
