- You will provide strategic management of the finance function, ensuring the company’s financial framework supports its growth.
- You will establish and oversee accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls for revenue recognition, cash management, expense approvals, and asset depreciation.
- You will drive organisational accountability and transparency while providing strategic advice to leadership.
- You will set up and lead the budgeting process, partnering with business heads to prepare, monitor, and adjust financial plans.
- You will work with the CEO to identify operational improvements, cost reduction opportunities, and system enhancements.
- You will manage day-to-day finance operations, including budgeting, forecasting, and performance monitoring.
- You will ensure compliance with statutory authorities, audit requirements, and tax obligations (FIRS, VAT, company tax).
- You will prepare accurate monthly accounts P&L, cash flow, and balance sheets and coordinate the preparation of statutory financial information.
- You will identify and research investment opportunities that balance liquidity needs with optimal returns.
- You will oversee payroll, insurance, and asset management.
- You will develop and improve forecasting models to enhance decision-making.
- You will continuously review internal controls to safeguard company resources.
- You will lead and mentor the Production Inventory Officer and Cashier, fostering a culture of accountability and excellence.
- You will work closely with the CEO, heads of units, suppliers, clients, and regulators to ensure smooth financial operations.
- You will actively contribute to senior-level meetings and strategy discussions, influencing the long-term direction of the company.
- A minimum of a first degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or related fields (Master’s degree is an advantage).
- Relevant professional certifications such as CFA, ICAN, ACCA, or equivalent (mandatory).
- At least 8 years of finance experience, with 4 years in a similar role in the hospitality sector experience is a strong plus
- Proven expertise in financial management, cash flow management, budgeting, and performance reporting.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and strong analytical skills.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and decision-making skills.
