• The General Manager is responsible for overseeing the daily operations, strategic planning, and financial performance of the haulage company.
• The GM will ensure smooth logistics, fleet management, staff productivity, compliance with transportation laws, and cost-efficient operations.
• This role demands strong leadership, logistics knowledge, and a track record in transport or related industries.

• Develop and implement operational strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
• Ensure all vehicles are properly maintained, serviced, and roadworthy at all times.
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual performance and financial reports for senior management.
• Oversee accurate record-keeping of vehicle documentation, staff records, and delivery logs.
• Lead response to emergencies, vehicle accidents, or delivery disruptions.
• Coordinate fleet scheduling to minimize downtime and maximize resource use.
• Foster a productive work culture and ensure staff adherence to company policies.
• Ensure compliance with all transport laws, safety standards, and government regulations.
• Coordinate with law enforcement, insurance companies, and internal teams to resolve issues.

• B.Sc. in Logistics, Business Administration, Transport Management, or related field (MBA is an added advantage).
• Minimum of 5–8 years of experience in haulage, logistics, or fleet operations (at least 3 years in senior management).
• Proven ability to lead and manage cross-functional teams.
• Strong knowledge of haulage systems, GPS tracking, fleet analytics, and logistics software.
• Sound knowledge of regulatory requirements in road transport and haulage.
