- The Country Manager will lead, own and manage the operational critical Success factors of AfricaPlanPhilanthropies' initiatives in Nigeria. With the active support of the Board of Trustees and the Foundation's Chair, this role involves overseeing program implementation, managing partnerships, ensuring financial sustainability, Compliance and Regulatory Reporting, and driving the Foundation's core mission to create impactful opportunities for African youths in the technology sector.
- The daily responsibilities are diverse and require strong leadership, strategic thinking, and collaboration skills. Below is a breakdown of the typical daily tasks.
- Strategic Leadership: Develop and execute specific strategies aligned with AfricaPlan Foundation's mission and goals as directed by the Board of Directors.
- Program Management: Oversee the planning, execution, and evaluation of programs, especially our flagship HackathonAfrica program, ensuring they meet objectives and deliver measurable outcomes.
- Team Leadership: Recruit, mentor, and manage a small team of professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Fundraising and Resource Mobilization
- Financial and Operational Management
- Monitoring, Evaluation, and Reporting:
- Compliance and Reporting.
Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's or a master's degree, aged not more than 45 Years.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in a similar role or in a senior management role within the non-profit sector, with a focus on program development and implementation.
- Strong non-profit Management, International Development (especially US affiliated), or experience with international organizations will be an advantage.
- Proven leadership and team management abilities
- Strong strategic planning and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Demonstrated experience in partnership development and stakeholder engagement. Financial management proficiency, including budgeting and financial reporting.
