Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) Assistant Job at Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc

• To assist the Safety Health Environment (SHE) Manager in the implementation of global best practices in safety, health and environment programmes or activities.

• Conduct regular inspections of the facility to identify and escalate any potential risks related to accidents, fire outbreaks, or hazards, ensuring timely response and preventive measures.
• Ensure that all environmental and safety equipment are in proper working condition; maintain accurate inventory and status reports as required.
• Supervise the disposal of solid and general waste to ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards.
• Monitor factory operations to enforce the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and address any deviations.
• Educate and counsel employees on the importance of maintaining a safe work environment and adhering to safety protocols and best practices.

• Have excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to identify potential risks and hazards.
• Problem-solving skills and the ability to respond effectively in emergency situations.
• Have Excellent risk assessment and hazard identification skills.

• OND in Microbiology, Chemistry, or other related science disciplines.

• Minimum of two years of experience in a similar role.
