- Edit video content for various purposes, including news segments, documentaries, promotional videos, and social media content.
- Utilize non-linear editing software to cut, trim, and arrange video clips, ensuring smooth transitions and pacing.
- Incorporate graphics, titles, and other visual elements into video edits to enhance storytelling and visual appeal.
- Ensure all video edits adhere to the company's style guidelines and brand standards.
- Edit and mix audio tracks, including dialogue, music, and sound effects, to create a balanced and immersive audio experience.
- Sweeten audio by adjusting levels, applying equalization, and removing noise or other imperfections.
- Synchronize audio with video, ensuring accurate timing and lip-sync.
- Select and incorporate appropriate music and sound effects to enhance the emotional impact of the video.
- Ensure audio quality meets broadcast or online streaming standards.
- Adjust the color and lighting of video footage to achieve a consistent and visually appealing look.
- Perform color correction to balance shots, match scenes, and create a desired mood or style.
- Grade video footage to enhance its cinematic quality and visual impact.
- Utilize color grading software and techniques to achieve specific color palettes and visual styles.
- Ensure color accuracy and consistency across the entire video project.
- Create and integrate visual effects into video projects, including compositing, motion tracking, and CGI.
- Design and animate motion graphics, such as titles, lower thirds, and transitions, to enhance visual storytelling.
- Collaborate with graphic designers and motion graphics artists to create seamless visual effects.
- Utilize VFX software and techniques to create realistic and engaging visual elements.
- Ensure visual effects are integrated seamlessly into the video and enhance the overall production value.
- Organize and manage video files, project files, and other digital assets, ensuring efficient workflow and accessibility.
- Maintain a clear and consistent file naming convention and folder structure.
- Back up and archive video projects and assets to ensure their preservation and security.
- Prepare video files for delivery in various formats and specifications, according to project requirements.
- Ensure all media is properly logged and tracked throughout the post-production process.
- Collaborate with directors, producers, editors, and other team members to ensure the video meets creative objectives.
- Communicate effectively with team members to understand project requirements, provide updates, and address feedback.
- Work closely with the post-production supervisor to manage timelines, budgets, and resources.
- Provide creative input and suggestions to enhance the visual storytelling of the video.
- Participate in post-production meetings and reviews, providing constructive feedback and contributing to the creative process.
- Bachelor's degree in Film production, Media Arts, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications in video editing or post-production are an added advantage.
- Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as a Video Editor and Post-Production Specialist.
- Proven track record of delivering high-quality video content for various media platforms.
- Extensive experience with non-linear editing software and post-production workflows.
- Deep understanding of post-production workflows and processes.
- Knowledge of cinematic storytelling techniques and visual composition.
- Understanding of broadcast standards and technical requirements.
- Knowledge of media asset management principles.
- Familiarity with current trends in video production and post-production.
- Basic understanding of copyright laws and intellectual property rights related to video content.
- Expertise in non-linear video editing software (e.g., Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro).
