Job Overview:The Technical Procurement Specialist will be responsible for sourcing suppliers, negotiating contracts, managing purchase orders, ensuring timely delivery of goods, and maintaining optimal inventory levels by identifying the best deals on price, quality, and delivery while working within budget constraints, all to meet the company's operational and maintenance needs.Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare, issue, and evaluate tenders, quotations, and proposals.
  • Create, manage, and track purchase orders, invoices, and payments.
  • Monitor and control inventory levels, ensuring timely replenishment.
  • Manage budgets, track expenses, and ensure cost-effectiveness
  • Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers.
  • Ensure compliance with organizational policies, laws, and regulations.
  • Negotiating contracts with suppliers to obtain the best terms of purchase, including discounts, shipping, and payment terms.
  • Might be responsible for writing contracts, negotiating prices and volumes, managing company's supply chain or identifying new suppliers.
  • Routinely work with legal departments to negotiate terms for contracts and renewals
  • Collate purchase orders and purchase requisitions in order to order materials, goods and supplies.
  • Creation of purchase orders; Calculate all order costs and evaluate invoices for accuracy; Prepare and update reports, records and pricing lists.
  • Maintain comprehensive records of all purchasing activities, including procurement requests, RFQ, purchase orders, and spending analyses.
  • Send purchase orders to the suppliers.
  • Responsible for monitoring the performance of their suppliers. This involves assessing delivery accuracy, responding to any performance issues
  • Follow through on any supplier changes (Engineering Change Notices); Communicate supplier performance; Maintain Planners informed on material status, delays.
  • Monitor supplier performance for the goods and services they provide; Sustain a working rapport with their supplier communities.
  • Provides technical support in the purchase of maintenance equipment in the plant.
RequirementsQualifications:
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management.
  • Proficient in SAP and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong analytical and negotiation skills.
  • Knowledge of supplier management and contract negotiation.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
