As a Senior Electrical Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of electrical systems critical to the safe and efficient operation of the facility. This role requires a high level of technical expertise in electrical systems, a keen attention to detail, and the ability to work effectively in a challenging offshore environment.Responsibilities

Conduct routine inspections, maintenance, and repair of electrical systems including power distribution, switchgear, motors, generators, transformers, and control systems.
Perform troubleshooting and diagnostic tests on electrical equipment to identify and resolve issues promptly, minimizing downtime and ensuring operational efficiency.
Coordinate with other departments such as instrumentation, mechanical, and operations to ensure integrated functioning of electrical systems.
Implement preventive maintenance programs to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with regulatory standards.
Participate in the planning and execution of electrical system upgrades, modifications, and installations.
Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory levels for electrical spare parts and components.
Provide technical guidance and support to junior technicians and assist in their training and development.
Monitor electrical parameters and alarms, implementing corrective actions as needed to maintain safe and efficient operations.
Follow established safety protocols and procedures to ensure a safe working environment for oneself and the team.
Collaborate with vendors and contractors as needed for specialized repairs, spare parts procurement, and technical support.
Stay updated on industry best practices, new technologies, and regulatory requirements related to electrical systems in offshore environments.
Actively participate in emergency response drills and procedures to ensure readiness for any potential incidents.

Profile

Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Electrical Engineering or related field preferred.
Minimum of 5 years of experience working as an Electrical Technician in the offshore oil and gas industry, with specific experience on FPSOs preferred.
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, including power distribution, motor controls, protective relays, and electrical codes and standards.
Proficiency in reading electrical schematics, diagrams, and drawings.
Hands-on experience with electrical testing and diagnostic equipment, as well as maintenance tools.
Familiarity with relevant regulatory standards and safety protocols (e.g., API, ISO, HSE).
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a multicultural team.
Physical fitness and willingness to work in challenging offshore conditions for extended periods.
