The Community Health Worker works under the supervision of the nursing officer to deliver high quality care to patients.
The job holder assists nursing officers in assessing patient's condition.

Employee’s Duties & Responsibilities
Responsibilities:
Medical:

Check and record patient's vital signs such Weight, Height, blood pressure, temperature and respiration rate.
Assist to improve patient adherence to treatment regimens.
Assist the Nursing officer in providing basic medical and preventive care.
Assist in providing care for patients requiring nutrition, mental health, and prenatal care.
To maintain highest standard of health education of client.
Efficient in educating babies and adults.
Ensure compliance to clinical governance in ANC and Immunization.
Efficient in chaperon of patients to various consulting rooms.
Record patient information in computerized logs
Ensure all activities carried out in ANC/Immunization are documented.
Perform other duties as assigned to you by senior leadership.

Maintenance:

Regular equipment checks and call for maintenance.

Health and Safety:

Carry out duties and responsibilities in compliance with Lily hospitals' health and safety policy and statutory regulations.
Ensure a clean, comfortable and safe environment for patients, clients and members of staff to help reduce infection

Requirements

Certificate of training as a community health worker (CHEW)
Minimum of 1 year of relevant experience
Valid practice license from the Community Health Practitioners Registration Board of Nigeria
Fluent in any local language and proficient in written and spoken English
