Conduct routine and random patrols to inspect guard posts, personnel conduct, and operational readiness.
Ensure guards are in full compliance with company SOPs and client-specific instructions. Incident Response & Reporting
Respond swiftly to incidents, disturbances, and emergencies across patrol zones.
Document and escalate incidents with detailed, time-stamped reports and preliminary assessments. Personnel Supervision
Monitor guard attendance, dressing, and performance during patrols.
Provide on-the-spot coaching or disciplinary action in accordance with HR policies. Client & Stakeholder Engagement
Liaise with client facility managers to confirm satisfaction and gather feedback during patrol visits.
Address minor client concerns or escalate service disruptions to the Operations Officer/Zonal Manager. Compliance & Documentation
Verify the accuracy of daily activity logs, incident logs, guard deployment rosters, and checkpoint entries.
Ensure guards comply with statutory regulations, including valid licenses and proper uniform standards. Operational Support
Support deployment logistics, including vehicle movement schedules, fuel checks, and patrol equipment inventory.
Conduct spot checks on communication devices and ensure patrol vehicle readiness. Miscellaneous
Provide supervision and direction to security operative staff within the zone.
Assist with the implementation of security procedures.
Prepare weekly operational reports.
Evaluate and recommend ways of improving operations.
Assist in posting of guards.
Conduct daily patrol of beats to ensure that standards are always maintained
Sign the Patrol Register at the beats.
Always ensure information security and confidentiality.Requirements
Minimum of OND/HND or equivalent in Security Management, Criminology, or related field.
2-4 years of supervisory experience in guarding/patrolling roles within the security industry.
Strong understanding of manned guarding operations and basic compliance requirements (e.g. NSCDC licensing and regulations).
Ability to work both as part of a team and independently without supervision as occasion demands, and to undertake a diversity of tasks.
Leadership - strong team supervision and field coordination skills.
Communication - effective reporting, escalation, and stakeholder engagement. Report writing. Ability to communicate with people at all levels and in different circumstances.
Attention to detail - ability to spot and correct protocol violations.
Technical aptitude - familiarity with patrol devices, radios, GPS tracking, etc.
Documentation - skilled in accurately compiling patrol reports and incident logs.
