- The General Manager will provide strategic leadership and operational oversight for a leading retail pharmacy brand with multiple outlets across the country.
- The GM will be responsible for driving profitability, ensuring compliance with pharmacy regulations, maintaining brand standards, and expanding market share.
- The ideal candidate is a licensed Pharmacist with proven expertise in multi-store retail operations management, business growth, and team leadership.
Strategic Leadership:
- Develop and implement business strategies to achieve the company’s short- and long-term growth objectives.
- Drive expansion plans, including opening new outlets and improving existing operations.
- Monitor industry trends, competition, and regulatory changes to maintain competitive advantage.
- Provide oversight and direction for all retail outlets nationwide.
- Ensure seamless coordination of supply chain, inventory, and distribution across outlets.
- Establish and monitor KPIs (sales, profitability, customer satisfaction, compliance).
- Drive operational efficiency and standard operating procedures (SOPs) across stores.
- Ensure all outlets comply with Pharmacy Council of Nigeria (PCN) and NAFDAC requirements.
- Enforce professional pharmacy practice standards across all branches.
- Safeguard ethical practices, patient safety, and adherence to pharmaceutical regulations.
- Manage P&L, budgeting, and financial planning for all outlets.
- Optimize revenue streams and control costs to maximize profitability.
- Introduce innovative retail pharmacy models (digital health, e-commerce, loyalty programs).
- Lead, motivate, and mentor Regional/Store Managers, Pharmacists, and staff across branches.
- Drive performance management, succession planning, and staff development initiatives.
- Foster a culture of accountability, innovation, and customer-centric service.
- Must be a licensed Pharmacist (B.Pharm, Pharm.D, or equivalent).
- Minimum of 12–15 years of progressive experience in retail pharmacy management, with at least 5 years in a multi-store leadership role.
- Proven track record in overseeing nationwide or large-scale retail operations.
- Strong business acumen with demonstrated success in managing P&L and driving growth.
- Deep understanding of Nigerian pharmaceutical regulations and retail dynamics.
