About the job Construction Manager-InfrastructureAbout the Job:Our client is one of Nigeria's leading private construction groups, with a rich history of delivering high-quality construction projects across the country. They are seeking an experienced and motivated Construction Manager with a specialized background in civil engineering for infrastructure projects (Roads Bridges, Highways). The successful candidate will lead and oversee multiple infrastructure sites, ensuring timely and high-quality project execution while meeting budgetary and regulatory requirements.Key Responsibilities:
  • Project Leadership: Manage multiple infrastructure project sites from planning to delivery, ensuring all project objectives are achieved.
  • Site Management: Develop site project plans, assign tasks effectively, lead site teams, and ensure adherence to timelines and budget requirements.
  • Team Collaboration: Coordinate with project management teams, subcontractors, consultants, and other stakeholders to resolve challenges and maintain seamless operations.
  • Quality Control: Monitor construction activities to ensure compliance with safety protocols, regulatory standards, and client specifications.
  • Budget & Schedule Oversight: Ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
  • Performance Management: Identify opportunities for process optimization and implement strategies to enhance efficiency and productivity across projects.
  • Reporting: Provide detailed progress updates and reports to senior management and clients.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelors degree in Civil Engineering (mandatory), Masters degree in Civil Engineering (preferred).
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience as a Civil Engineer, with a strong focus on infrastructure projects.
  • Solid experience in Construction Site Management and Project Execution.
Skills & Competencies:
  • Proven leadership and decision-making capabilities.
  • Expertise in leading and managing infrastructure projects (Roads, Bridges, Highways, etc.).
  • Proficiency in construction management tools and software.
  • Strong understanding of infrastructure-specific safety standards and regulatory compliance.
  • Exceptional communication, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
