Employment Type: NYSCPosition Summary
  • As an IT and Technical Assistant Intern, you will assist in the maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of our systems, networks, and technical operations.
  • This is an excellent opportunity to develop foundational skills in IT support and system administration
Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with installing, configuring, and troubleshooting hardware, software, and network systems.
  • Provide first-level technical support to end-users (in person or remotely).
  • Support regular maintenance of IT infrastructure including backups, updates, and patch management.
  • Support in implementing basic cybersecurity measures and data protection protocols.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams on technical requirements for ongoing projects.
  • Maintain and update inventory of IT equipment and software licenses.
  • Assist in setting up new employee workstations, including email accounts, user credentials, and device configuration.
  • Document technical processes, procedures, and solutions for internal knowledge base.
  • Stay up to date with IT trends and recommend improvements to enhance system performance.
Qualifications & Skills
  • Recently completed a Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Basic understanding of computer systems, networks, and common software applications (Windows, macOS, Microsoft 365, etc.).
  • Familiarity with troubleshooting tools and IT support best practices.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • Eagerness to learn and take initiative in challenging situations.
Desirable (Not Mandatory):
  • Knowledge of cybersecurity fundamentals.
  • Familiarity with cloud services (e.g., AWS, Google Cloud, Azure).
  • Basic scripting or programming knowledge (Python, PowerShell, etc.).
