Reporting Line: Head of DepartmentJob Summary:We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented IP Operations Engineer to join our technology team in Lekki. This role is ideal for a network professional with strong hands-on experience in IP networking, core infrastructure, and enterprise network support. The successful candidate will be responsible for the design, configuration, implementation, and maintenance of IP and network systems to support mission-critical services for corporate clients.Key Responsibilities:Technical Responsibilities:Provide hands-on technical support for IP and core network infrastructureDesign, configure, and implement IP-based network solutions for corporate clientsTroubleshoot complex Layer 2 and Layer 3 network issues, ensuring minimal service disruptionMaintain and upgrade core networking equipment, including routers, switches, and firewallsManage and support network monitoring tools to ensure uptime and optimal performancePerform network diagnostics and troubleshooting across multiple technologiesSupport Unix-based servers (RedHat, CentOS, Debian) and integrate them into network operationsEnsure compliance with company SLAs, responding promptly to urgent client issuesDocument technical procedures, network diagrams, and system configurationsOperational & Administrative Duties:Report directly to the Head of DepartmentMaintain accountability for all assigned equipment and resourcesDemonstrate leadership and professionalism, serving as a role model for junior team membersAdhere to all departmental and organizational policies and proceduresStay updated on company communications and notificationsTake ownership of assigned tasks and deliverables from start to completionRequired Technical Skills:Strong understanding of TCP/IP, subnetting, and core routing/switching protocolsProficiency with Mikrotik and Cisco device configurationsExperience with Layer 3 protocols (EIGRP, OSPF, BGP) and Layer 2 technologies (VLANs, STP, Trunks)Ability to troubleshoot, diagnose, and resolve networking issuesKnowledge of MPLS (L2VPNs, L3VPNs, VPLS) and LAC/LNS implementationsExperience configuring Cisco ASA and Juniper firewalls is an added advantageAbility to work across multi-vendor network environmentsFamiliarity with network performance tools and remote troubleshooting methodsGeneral Skills:Excellent communication (verbal and written) and interpersonal skillsStrong team spirit and ability to collaborate with internal and external stakeholdersHigh level of initiative and ownershipWillingness to learn and adapt to new technologiesTime management and multitasking ability under pressureEducation & Certification Requirements:B.Sc. in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related fieldCCNA certification is mandatoryAdditional certifications (CCNP, Mikrotik, Juniper) are a strong advantageBenefits:Competitive monthly net salaryHMO / health insuranceProfessional development and certification supportExposure to cutting-edge technologies and real-time enterprise projectsWork tools and logistics support as applicableStructured career growth pathCollaborative and innovation-driven work cultureHow to Apply:Interested and qualified candidates should send their updated CV to hiring@mysigma.io using IP Operations Engineer Lekki as the subject of the email.
