Reporting: Directly to the MDDescription
- We are looking for a Technical Assistant to the Managing Director (MD) — a smart, resourceful, and execution-driven professional who will act as the MD’s right hand.
- This role blends project management, analytics, and technical execution — ensuring that high-level strategies are translated into measurable results.
- This is not a routine “assistant” role — it is a hands-on, high-impact position designed to groom you for leadership.
Direct Support to the MD:
- Manage the MD’s schedule, tasks, and communications with precision and confidentiality.
- Prepare executive briefs, presentations, reports, and proposals for internal and client-facing meetings.
- Serve as a sounding board and execution partner, helping translate vision into clear, trackable actions.
- Act as the MD’s eyes and ears across multiple projects, ensuring deadlines, budgets, and deliverables are met.
- Develop and maintain project dashboards and trackers (finance, operations, client deliverables).
- Run weekly project reviews, identifying risks, bottlenecks, and ensuring proactive resolution.
- Drive accountability with internal teams (marketing, recruitment, tech, operations) by following up on priorities.
- Support implementation and optimization of tools — CRMs, project management platforms, automation workflows.
- Conduct market research, competitor benchmarking, and financial/operational analysis to support decisions.
- Build models and insights (Excel/Sheets, dashboards) that give the MD real-time visibility on performance.
- Track client and partner engagements, ensuring the MD is always equipped with updated information.
- Draft communications, proposals, and follow-ups that maintain professional and timely engagement.
- Escalate urgent issues, ensuring the MD has visibility before they become problems.
- Graduate with 3 - 6 years’ experience in project management, business operations, consulting, finance, or technical support.
- Strong with tools: Excel/Google Sheets, CRMs, project management software (Asana, Trello, ClickUp), and automation platforms.
- Exceptional organizational skills — able to manage multiple moving parts at once.
- Excellent communicator (written & spoken) with executive presence and confidence.
- Analytical thinker who thrives on solving problems and making things happen.
- Discreet, trustworthy, and reliable — able to handle sensitive information.
- Proactive and resourceful — you anticipate needs before they arise.
- You’ll work directly with the MD across multiple industries and ventures.
- You’ll gain exposure to C-level decision-making, high-level strategy, and execution at scale.
- You’ll develop the skills and track record to step into future leadership roles: Operations Lead, Business Manager, or Chief of Staff.
- You’ll be part of a company scaling rapidly across Africa and globally.
